For Hippolit cup there were this time less greyhounds registered for the start as usually. The reason was mainly very cold weather which atracted traditional participants only. The quality of the runs was almost not influenced and achieved times show that the weather was no obstacle for the greyhounds at all. Results of Hippolit cup.

Kresin - Spring race - 01. May 2008

Spring race was approaching very fast. We prepared all important things including changes of the race track (longer distance, improved fence, etc.) and expected how many dogs will participate. Finaly we got about 50 participants in advance. We got prices from our sponsor.

During the racing day totaly about 60 dogs including 12 greyhound could enjoy nice atmosphere. Among the greyhounds we could see European and World championship participants and medallist as well. They could even compare their performnce with greyhounds from adoption from Ireland. Whippet and geyhound results from Spring race include interesting names. See bellow statistic of dogs on race tracks in Europe (Germany, Ireland, Netherland, France, Hungary and Czech (Praskacka and Lednice).

We have grass race track only but due to the fact the race track is straight only without curves the loads of the dogs legs ara definitely not that enormous so the possibility of injury during the races is reduced. We think our races are good oportunity for all dogs to show their potencial.

So many participants were quite a big challenge for us but all of them spoke positive about the racing. So we would like to invite you for next event - CDGK meeting beginning of June. Even it is a official event for CDGK members there will be enough possibility for running.
